New board members elected to Region D

August 28, 2003 -- The North East Texas Regional Water Planning Group elected four new board members and re-elected four board members, during their monthly meeting on Aug. 20 in Gilmer.

New board members to serve Region D include George Frost, Maud; Jim Thompson, Atlanta; Mike Dunn, Commerce; and Samuel M. "Mendy" Rabicoff, Longview.

Re-elected board members are Beth Wisenbaker, Sulphur Springs; William Justiss, Paris; Gary Jackson, Lindale; and John Durgin, Canton.

Also at the Aug. 20 meeting, board member Richard Letourneau, Longview, volunteered to a statewide conservation board task force in Austin.

The next meeting for the Region D water planning group is set for Sept. 17, 2 p.m., at the civic center in Gilmer.
