NAVASOTA, Texas (AP) — Sometimes you win.A hole-in-one as part of a shootout at Pecan Lakes Golf Course in Navasota landed a player a new truck.
Wayne Warren on Tuesday won the 2009 Nissan Titan, with a list price starting at more than $26,000.
Golf course assistant pro Jackson Upcheshaw (UP'-chuh-shaw) says Warren's ball went into the cup on the par 3, 160-yard second hole. He used a 9-iron in the competition that cost $25 to enter.
Upcheshaw says he heard the ball "took two bounces and just rolled right in."
Warren could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.
Navasota is about 65 miles northwest of Houston.
