January 15, 2004 -- The Mid-Tex Farm and Ranch Show in Waco is back on tap for its annual presentation. With a wide array of commercial farming and ranching interests making ready for dozens of booth displays, the show looks to be its usual hallmark for agriculture in Central Texas. A long-time supporter of Central Texas agriculture and the Mid-Tex event is local implement dealer, Brazos Valley Equipment Company. Since 1980, Brazos Valley Equipment has been around to help farmers choose the best type of farm equipment to help run their operations. Located in downtown Waco, the company offers a full line of John Deere equipment, including tractors, planters, and tillage equipment. Vincent Neuhaus, owner of Brazos Valley Equipment Company, has been a farmer all his life and knows the importance of using the best kind of equipment on the land. "Twenty-three years ago, when I got started in this line of business, there were a lot of various companies selling tractors. Today, John Deere is the only one that is still here," said Neuhaus. "What I like so much about the John Deere company, is that it's the same company that it has always been, but they keep expanding and improving their products." According to Neuhaus, John Deere has never merged with another tractor company nor have they bought another company. "They still have the farmer in mind when they are making their products and they know how important the ag business is." Neuhaus is proud of being a John Deere dealership because he feels that they provide the latest in agriculture equipment. "We are a full-line John Deere company. We have whatever the farmer or rancher needs as far as equipment is concerned." Since their existence, Brazos Valley Equipment Company has also been a part of the Mid-Tex Farm and Ranch show, located in Waco. The show, which is a part of the Blackland Income Growth conference, allows dealers to display their products to those farmers who attend the show and conference. This year is the 42nd annual show and conference; it will take place Jan. 20-21. "The Farm and Ranch show is important because it's the primary ag display show in Central Texas. It allows farmers and ranchers to see what we can sell them," Neuhaus stated. "The show and conference are a good combination. People can come to Waco to look at equipment, but they can also get a good education while they are there. "I am a farmer at heart. I love to work with farmers. I know that they must have equipment and service that is to their satisfaction. We do our best to provide not only the best equipment money can buy, but have the kind of service that they need in order to back up their machinery in the field," he said. |
