Anybody that came to the Colby Yates Challenge PBR event last year at the Civic Center in Sulphur Springs will be glad to know that it's not only returning for a 2nd go-round this year, but also for the next three years aferward. The powers that be in PBR just signed a contract to keep bringing the rodeo to the Civic Center through 2013. (They sold out every night last year.)
'Course, it's not call the Colby Yets challenge this year but the Texas Heritage National Bank PBR Challenge. Same thing, though, pro riders, some of them with NFR experience, as well as some top stock that rip the guts out of the toughest cowpoke there is. And everybody's competing, because the riders get scored, the bullfighters (kinda like rodeo clowns, only more professional looking) compete for points, even the bulls get scored.
The events will be Aug. 21-22; tickets go on sale July 24 at the Civic Center and are $17 for reserved seats and $15 for general seating. Tickets are $5 more at the gate.
