Q: What is Country World?A: Country World is a weekly, regional newspaper that carries stories and advertising attractive to ag producers and rural residents of Texas. The newspaper, a product of Echo Publishing Co. in Sulphur Springs, Texas, began in November 1981.

A: While we don't exclude stories and advertising from Sulphur Springs, Country World certainly has thrown its lasso further than just one city. Country World's theme is "The Rural Newspaper of Texas," yet we also publish national and international news, plus generate advertising from other states.

A: Actually, there are three coverage areas, because there are three Country World editions. The original Country World, based in Sulphur Springs, Texas, covers 59 counties in North and East Texas. Country World Central Texas, which began in February 1995, is officed out of Hewitt (near Waco) and covers 57 counties in that region. Then, in June 1998, Country World South Central Texas opened in LaGrange. This edition covers 44 counties in that region. That's 155 Texas counties in all.
