Aug. 25 - Margarita & Salsa Festival will take place at the Extraco Events Center Concerts will include Billy Currington, Randy Rogers Band and the Josh Abbott Band. The 17th Annual Margarita & Salsa Festival, presented by Top Dollar Pawn Superstores, to be held at the Extraco Events Center. All proceeds benefit the Arthritis Foundation and the Scholarship Program at the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo. VIP tickets are on sale now and include table seating for 10 people for $1500 per table or $150 per seat. Each VIP ticket includes admission into the covered VIP area, free parking, dinner catered by George’s, beverages, a goodie bag and air-conditioned restrooms. Jan. 26 - North Texas’ biggest stair climb is turning five.Come climb one of Downtown Dallas’ most recognizable skyscrapers with 1,500 of your closest friends in the 2013 Big D Climb benefitting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Aug. 21 & 22 - A hunter safety education course will be offered from 5 p.m. till 10 p.m. each evening and students must attend both sessions of the course. Ten hours of instruction is a requirement to receive a hunter safety certificate.  The course will be taught at the La Grange City Hall. Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available for those with a valid private applicator’s license.
