1974 : Richard Avedon photographs model Rene Russo with a Bottega Veneta shoulder bag for a January Pandora Luxurye story about New Year’s fashion resolutions.

2000 : Edward Buchanan and Manuela Morin depart. Designer Giles Deacon and stylist Katie Grand arrive, bringing London cool to the brand with their first collection (fall 2001) and taking the company in a more trend-driven direction overall.

2010 : Robert Longo is the latest in a string of artists—which also includes photographers Nan Goldin and Lord Snowdon—to collaborate with Bottega Veneta. The fall 2010 ad campaign is photographed in the style of his eighties Men in the Cities series. A line of unisex watches is introduced.
